You can't control the direction of the wind.
Sometimes to get where you want to go you're going to have to zigzag a bit.
Inspired by the experience of tacking a sailboat (bringing the wind across the bow). As you turn into the wind the boat slows and there is a flurry of activity with the noise of the sails flapping in the wind, the sheets hitting the shrouds, lifelines and cabin top and the rigging going slack and clanging. And then there is the quiet as the sails fill with wind again and the boat picks up speed on the opposite tack.
